Easter bunny pancakes. Lucas may not be as impressed with it as dad was.

Date Night
Friday is usually family date night. It's been awhile since we've gone out so we're having fun. Lucas wants a bite of daddy's burger...think he might get it too. ;-)

Nothing like a snow day to get caught up
Okay, this is my last post of the day. Hope you've enjoyed catching up on our lives. Here are a few more fun pictures from today...I enjoyed getting out my camera but I'm not sure how much Lucas liked it. ;-)
"I sure like my new freedom...now if mommy would just let me do what I want, including eating garbage and wallpaper."
I think it's so sweet how Lucas crosses his legs/feet at the ankles.
He loves his cereal, just like his mommy.
All of our snow...
It's hard to tell but I think I captured a smile on Lucas' face...in the snow!
"What do you want me to do? I can't move in this snowsuit."

Cobber Baby
I was hoping Lucas could have been wearing short-sleeve shirts by now but winter is hanging on. However, at the rate he's going his 12 months clothes aren't going to fit for much longer. One of his 12 month onesies I wanted to make sure he wore more than once was his Cobber one from my Cobber friends. And once it was on...I had to do a mini photo shoot. GO COBBERS!
"Hi mommy"
"Yep, I'm walking...here I come!"
"Who's this crazy lady?"

10 months old
Maybe I'm subconsciously trying to extend time by not posting Lucas' monthly pictures until the month is almost done. Truly, how can he be turning 1 in six weeks?!?! I didn't even try to get his pictures with the basketball/tennis blanket this month because I knew he wouldn't slow down enough to make it worth it, but I'm already preparing myself for his one year pictures with the blanket.
I enjoy all his wonderful faces and smiles. He makes us smile and laugh every day...what a joy! Here are a couple of bonus average day pictures...

Florida
We had a nice trip to Orlando to attend our annual conference. It was Lucas' first flight and he did great. Before the conference we went down to Jupiter to see the Cardinals spring training game and dip our toes in the ocean. As a whole we had a great trip and enjoyed the warm weather.
We didn't take a lot of pictures but I'll post a few more from our camera at some point.

Snow Day
Today I didn't have to go to work. I love that a few inches of snow shuts things down in Illinois. Lucas and I enjoyed the day...as you can see.
In honor of March Madness Lucas has been wearing college apparel. Yesterday was Concordia and today was Utah State.
With how bright it is I thought it appropriate to put on his shades from auntie Elicia. He thinks they're pretty great even if they only stay on for 2 seconds.
And we did make it outside so he could experience Illinois snow. His favorite part was trying to eat it.

Grandma & Grandpa Visit
The first weekend of March Grandpa and Grandma Pearce came down for a visit. We hadn't seen each other since Christmas so we were excited to see them. We didn't have much planned but had a nice time...taking pictures. :)
Who's making who smile? Both.
We struggled to get a picture of everyone looking...as you can see.
Yep, I can hold and play with Lucas while I sleep; it's a great skill to possess.
What a cutie!
"Are you talking to me Grandpa?"
"Mommy, Grandpa's talking to me! What should I say?"
I love both of their smiles. :-)
Lucas doesn't really know that he's whistling, but he does a pretty good job at it.
I'm glad Lucas has started helping with tasks around the house...we'll keep him.
Thanks for coming to visit Grandma & Grandpa!!!

Pre-walk Walking
Before I get to the big news, I wanted to share that I got my new camera back. Thankfully Sony fixed it for free! We've been taking more pictures again...so the challenge will just be to get them on the blog.
Lucas cut his 6th tooth last weekend; 4th one on the top. And as you can see here, there was a lot of drool...but still a cute pic.
This is a classic look...
Great smile...and you can see most of his teeth now.
Finally to the big news...Lucas is "walking". Nathan got the walker from the basement last week to see what Lucas would do with it...and he figured it out within seconds. We double-checked with Deb to make sure he wasn't walking at her place...and yep, we saw his first 'steps'. It's so crazy to see him moving around this way.

Women's Basketball Game
The last weekend in February we headed to the BU women's basketball game with Garf and the Hollis family. Nathan lead the group down to the court to high five the woman as they were announced. Again, I have to say...Lucas is definitely his father's son...
I caught him off guard a bit here..
The Hollis kids are in the middle of the pack; Meg is the only one looking at the camera. The boys really enjoyed watching the game and Noah loved talking basketball with Nathan.
While you don't see Lucas' face here, you can see the high five he got. :)
After the game, we stopped by Nathan's new office and I snapped a picture of the sign outside with his name and title. BMOC.
While Garf's visit was short, we're glad he made the trip to come visit. He and Lucas figured out a new trick that makes Lucas giggle like crazy...
Yep, this is the smile Garf gets after rubbing Lucas on his head. Who would have guessed he'd like it so much?!? Lucas' laugh is so great that any and every way you can get him to laugh...you just want to keep doing it.
