Circus

We went to the ISU Gamma Phi Circus again this year. We met the Gentry family for the show, it was great to see them. The kids did a good job of keeping entertained and watching parts of the show.

For a bit, Nora and Lucas shared a chair. It's sweet to watch him play with his friends.

It was a great day!

Park!

It was finally nice enough to go play at the park for about an hour the other evening. It's hard to say if Lucas remembered going last year but he navigated it well and had a blast. There were a couple other kids who were a little older so he watched them for a bit to see how things operate on the playground. He's so observant.

I didn't even count how many times he went down the slides...he was having a blast.

He also got out his changing pad, that we rarely use, and laid next to it the other morning to tell me he pooped. Too bad he didn't lay on it the right way, we still have some training to do. Luckily I moved fast enough to capture a picture. He makes me laugh.

Bow tie

A college friend makes bow ties and she recently sent one to Lucas so we had to try it on. He liked it for about 30 seconds.

Even got him to put on his hat too.

It helped that he could hold his bat too.

And that was it...

G & G Pearce visit

Last weekend Grandpa and Grandma Pearce came to visit. We had a nice and relaxing weekend. Since it was finally warm enough to grill out, we did so twice. Unfortunately I didn't capture more than these pictures. Grandpa got some great ones of Lucas playing outside but I didn't transfer them. Thanks for visiting!!!

Lucas and mama week

Nathan traveled to Baltimore to see a few friends and attend a conference for a week so Lucas and I found a few fun things to fill our days.
We watched our 1st movie, Curious George, and had popcorn from the new picnic table. Lucas also got to eat pizza on the table, and he continues to tell me about it. Man, he loves pizza.

And here we are enjoying pancakes at the local joint before church.

Another selfie after getting his hair cut. He did such a great job that we went for dinner and ice cream afterwards. We also ran a number of errands so it's appropriate to get a picture of us in the car.

And to finish off the weekend, Lucas enjoyed his bath time. He recently became comfortable with laying on his back and getting water in his ears.

He makes me smile all the time. Thanks for a good couple of days buddy. Now only if you could sleep longer...I'd be really happy. Lucas is definitely a Thomas; he's an early riser. ;-)

Enjoying life

There isn't much Lucas doesn't enjoy. I even got him to like taking his medicine by bribing him with a sweet treat after he takes it. But one thing he really enjoys is tennis. I wish I could post a video of him hitting the ball as it's pretty impressive, but we'll just continue to support his interest. I took him to a match that Nathan was umping the other weekend. He had so much fun playing with the bin of balls, watching the matches, and running around a bit.

He also liked making cards for people staying at the local hospital. Here he and Nathan are dropping off the cards we made. A little creative outlet is nice.

Garf and Kara Visit

The last weekend of February Garf and Kara came to celebrate Garf's retirement, which turned out to be a switch in jobs instead. Kristi planned the trip but wasn't able to make it, but she was with us in spirit. I wish I took more pictures but I got Lucas with his grandpa and his aunt.

And Kara got a few of Lucas, one of him saying "cheese"

Playing in the kitchen...not sure exactly what he's up to

And another if his playing good night with grandpa.

Thanks for making the trip to see us!!!
