Lucas and mama week

Nathan traveled to Baltimore to see a few friends and attend a conference for a week so Lucas and I found a few fun things to fill our days.
We watched our 1st movie, Curious George, and had popcorn from the new picnic table. Lucas also got to eat pizza on the table, and he continues to tell me about it. Man, he loves pizza.

And here we are enjoying pancakes at the local joint before church.

Another selfie after getting his hair cut. He did such a great job that we went for dinner and ice cream afterwards. We also ran a number of errands so it's appropriate to get a picture of us in the car.

And to finish off the weekend, Lucas enjoyed his bath time. He recently became comfortable with laying on his back and getting water in his ears.

He makes me smile all the time. Thanks for a good couple of days buddy. Now only if you could sleep longer...I'd be really happy. Lucas is definitely a Thomas; he's an early riser. ;-)

Enjoying life

There isn't much Lucas doesn't enjoy. I even got him to like taking his medicine by bribing him with a sweet treat after he takes it. But one thing he really enjoys is tennis. I wish I could post a video of him hitting the ball as it's pretty impressive, but we'll just continue to support his interest. I took him to a match that Nathan was umping the other weekend. He had so much fun playing with the bin of balls, watching the matches, and running around a bit.

He also liked making cards for people staying at the local hospital. Here he and Nathan are dropping off the cards we made. A little creative outlet is nice.

Garf and Kara Visit

The last weekend of February Garf and Kara came to celebrate Garf's retirement, which turned out to be a switch in jobs instead. Kristi planned the trip but wasn't able to make it, but she was with us in spirit. I wish I took more pictures but I got Lucas with his grandpa and his aunt.

And Kara got a few of Lucas, one of him saying "cheese"

Playing in the kitchen...not sure exactly what he's up to

And another if his playing good night with grandpa.

Thanks for making the trip to see us!!!

Cupcake

What do you think, did Lucas like his first real cupcake (as the one he had for his bday was a healthy version)?

Redbird!

A few weeks ago we drove down to ISU to watch the Redbird even their record for the year against BU. A win at home is always good.

Lucas was fascinated with Reggie the Redbird and didn't stop taking about him until he met Kaboom. Now he loves them both.

While it's hard to tell from these pics, we all had a blast.

Kaboom!

A couple of weeks ago Lucas met a new friend - Kaboom! - Bradley's new mascot. Or should I say Boom! as Lucas calls him. At the introduction of Kaboom! Lucas was enthralled and wouldn't take his eyes off him. So at halftime we ventured out to get a few photos with him. The whole time in line he kept pointing and saying Boom!

The next pictures show what happened when Lucas turned and realized what was standing next to him.

He must not have been traumatized too much, because each day since he has grabbed the phone to see Boom! and the video of his introduction. We look forward to taking Lucas to see his friend.
