Trying to get a smile

After a few attempts I got a couple nice smiles. 

Boys weekend...

A couple of weekends ago, Erin was out of town so Lucas and daddy got to spend the weekend together. 

Saturday we had to make several work appearances. One of them resulted in Lucas first keynote at the annual TEAM Bradley leadership conference. 

And after a busy day, his own cup of ice cream. 

As it does all the time this winter it snowed. So Lucas likes to help sweep as he calls it. Each time he gets a little more helpful and he sure is getting lots of practice.

Sunday we kept a close eye on the windows waiting for momma to come home. Also that morning was one of those reasons we love living where we do. Look at the deer over Lucas' shoulder; probably no more than 20 feet outside our window for over an hour. We were fascinated. 

And while we didn't start it this weekend...Lucas is starting to potty train. Kind of per his request. He has done pretty well. Here is a picture sure to haunt him later in life. His first time going in the frog and him clapping for himself!

Snow day

Lucas and I made the most of my two recent snow days. He loves going outside so much so he tried to convince me to go out when it was below zero out. He looked good in his hat and boots.
