Final day of April

I'm honestly a bit surprised that baby Thomas hasn't joined the 'outside' world yet, but we're enjoying full nights of sleep while we can. :) When I emptied the camera of months of photos in preparation for baby's arrival, I was struck by how big my belly is now.

This photo was taken on November 28, 2011. Even after eating Thanksgiving leftovers for days I needed to pull on my shirt to show the belly.

However, by the time we get to April 22, 2012, the belly is the one pulling on the shirt.

Baby Showers

In March I greatly enjoyed spending time with groups of wonderful women (and a few men at ISU) during my baby showers. The first was held in MN by my aunts on the Johnson side. I loved being able to spend time with family and some Cobber friends.

The second shower was hosted by Harriett Steinbach, Jill Benson, and Danielle Miller-Schuster at Medici's in Normal. With it being a co-ed shower, Rick Lewis kept us entertained as he experienced his first baby shower.

The theme was "Baby whoo?" and some of the owls have made it into the decor of baby Thomas' room...thanks ladies!
And the last shower of the month was hosted by Lea Ann Heaser and Jen Newcomer. While the theme was Baby "Shower" it was a beautiful spring day.

Baby Thomas and I are truly blessed with supportive and generous family and friends. Thank you all!

T-29 Days

With the passing of April 1st yesterday, we are now counting down the arrival of our little one just in days. Crazy how fast, yet slow, the last 8 months have gone. The last couple weeks have been busy with baby showers, a trip to MN, and Garf & Kristi visiting this last weekend. The house is now filled with baby gear and cute new clothes.

Here are a few pictures from MN (baby is 33 weeks old here). Breck's baby/monkey is about the same age...he might like being pregnant more than me.
